POP CULTURE: Bill Cosby and the Endless Rape Allegations

Bill Cosby's lawyer released a statement that the recently resurfaced rape claims are old. What's missing from the media focus is the fact that Cosby has admitted to having affairs while married to Camille. One has to wonder how his wife, Camille, feels. Is this a scenario like television's The Good Wife, of a woman standing by her man's side and secretly resenting him for it? Or maybe it's something else.

I always caution people in judging others' relationships. The truth is, we know little about the Camille-Bill relationship. Is it possible that she agreed to an open relationship - or at least the occasional dalliance?

My own personal take is that someone who professes to be so moralistic and opinionated could be a little more humble. His comments about young black men in America are especially rigid and authoritarian. Overall, Cosby strikes me as an intelligent man with a grandiose, no-one-can-touch-me sense of self. That is often a sad consequence of excessive wealth.
